THE ART OF LAYERING

November 29, 2018

My first layering outfit of the season ! The weather wasn’t totally ready for it hence people still walking around in t-shirts but I totally was!! Seeing all my lovelies on Instagram rocking those fall and winter layered looks I just had to do my own even if I was a little hot.

To start I had these grey accent check pants that are so cool and chic with their vintage business vibe ( I really do need to invest in some more check). And then the layering brings...a beautiful yet simple black lace camisole - one of the best bottom layers to an outfit by the way. Next a gorgeous grey v-neck cardigan with a threaded shine, giving it that something extra and making it stand out above all its fellow cardigans. I also decided to belt it at the waist to give myself a figure as I am relatively on the smaller side I can easily be swallowed up by a multi layered look, so belting it at the waist helps maintain a body shape for me. The last layer to my first “winter” outfit is this oh so fabulous grey coat with its slight animal print giving the whole look a little edgy wildness to its otherwise more business chic feel. I topped it all off with cool black accessories beginning with studded black leather brogues, a classic black box handbag and super chic I can totally be a part of the matrix cast sunglasses. All in all one fabulous grey accented layered winter look, so for all of you in actual winter keep on enjoying these outfits and for those just heading in have fun creating them !
