As you all know trends in fashion will forever come and go generally in a ferris wheel direction, meaning it all comes back around eventually. Now I’m not always a fan of everything that makes its way back, as I’ve previously mentioned and sometimes I am a huge fan like that of the oversized blazer. First I am a big fan of the blazer in general so having it up a size or four still does it for me!
So clearly I’m on board with this comeback from the 80s, I truly love styling a big blazer during those fall to winter months as there are so many styling possibilities. One of the ways obviously is a belted look...ta da!! Although this look is generally brought to you by 80s inspired fashion but for my look I decided to go back a decade styling my gorgeous oversized check blazer with a fabulous stain glass print inspired button with so much of those disco era vibes it was a really party. As I mentioned and as you can see I belted it all at the waist giving me back some shape, which can easily disappear with a big jacket. Pairing it with a pair of blue denim cutoffs because sadly full autumn has not come to town yet, fabulous brown with lace accent boots, big gold hoops to help with the mode of the look and a gorgeous little raffia clutch in matching colors to the shirt. I feel I really nailed a 70s inspired outfit with the help of an 80s trend that made its way back around to us. That’s the beauty of fashion all options are open there are no limits to how you can style pieces and you can be sure I’ll be styling this again!
