Mixing and matching is one of the main themes of this blog and something that I really enjoy doing. The usual way I mix and match is by taking a fancy piece and finding ways to casualize it, however I also adore pairing feminine and edgy pieces together to create a really chic combination.
I have this gorgeous maxi skirt that is most definitely on the feminine side with it's apricot complexion and pleats that I would normally pair with an equally feminine top. But I decided to mix and match this time styling the lovely skirt that I knotted at the bottom with a cool Def Leppard band tee that I tied above the waist, not only to add some edge to it but also a little sexiness with a flash of midriff. Now what really made this look pop was definitely the accessories with a very on trend large leopard print belt that really takes the look to another level as well as a beautiful diamond studded vintage hand clutch that I slid onto my wrist instead of holding it classically. Topping it all off with a pair of converse and some chunky gold hoops and there you have it one super chic mixing of feminine and edgy to create a fabulous outfit that is also a little on trend (which isn’t usually my thing). This is truly the best thing about fashion - all the wonderful pieces that you can collect and combine together to make some fabulous outfits.
