I have one word for you lovely people and that word is VINTAGE! For those who know me and for all those that don't, I adore a good vintage item. They are a little trickier to find than just going into your regular store but if you put in a little bit of time to snoop around you are bound to find something amazing. I know that not everyone likes vintage as they don't always like the idea of it having been someone else's, but let me tell you sometimes you can find some incredible pieces!
Like this absolutely stunning wine red velvet blazer (no one can say this isn't a masterpiece in fabulousness) anyhoo sadly where I live is kind of lacking in good vintage stores, however I am lucky enough to live close to Europe - which has amazing second hand stores, thus while on a trip to Paris my incredible mother bought me this amazing blazer for my birthday..yay me. This is a piece that pretty much styles itself as you really don't need to do too much or venture out of the box for it. There for I went with a cool Def Leppard band singlet, tucked and belted into high waisted black jeans, so simple yet it totally works. Finishing off the look with cool black studded slip ons too give the outfit some added edge, a cute little multi colored raffia clutch and some awesome long gold arrow earrings- a little buy from my recent trip to Sweden, that just lifted the overall look making it all the more chic! However that best thing about a blazer like this one is that it is completely versatile from day to night and causal to fancy, by simple changing your top and shoes, you can either look effortlessly chic for lunch and errands or sexy and on point for that night on the town. The moral of this post is to either keep going to vintage stores you wonderful people or meditate your aversion away and start going into them, because you really don't know what kind of treasures you will find!
