I have been wanting to style an outfit with these gorgeous overalls for a while now! It has the vintage feels with a high waist and wide pant leg so you can see why I was wanting to get them out into the light. I was going back and forth about what to put underneath. Leaning towards a big statement sleeve top, alas that is not where this outfit took me.
I went to no other place than my mothers wardrobe and in there I pulled from it's depths a stunning gold vintage silk chiffon button up. I think my mum has had this top for over 20 years, so when I say vintage I really mean it and it went wonderfully under the overalls! Styling the outfit with beautiful silver washed ankle boots with hand embroidered gold beaded detailing on the front and a fabulous gold and crystal necklace for the finish. An outfit like this is so easy to pull off, it is literally two pieces of clothing and some accessories. I think that is what I truly love about overalls, how simple yet totally chic they are. You can get almost any type of look from an overall depending on its cut and color, a vintage look like mine with dots and wide leg or a chic edgy outfit with a classic black denim and of course country chic with a timeless blue denim. There are so many possibilities and I am really excited to see how I can style a pair for the colder months ahead !!
